Jennifer & Sean in Fremont, OH
Jennifer looked stunning in a strapless satin gown with an empire waist and pleated skirt. The dress, by Pronovias, also featured a chapel-length train with elegant beading and embroidery.
Jennifer and her bridesmaids carried gorgeous green bouquets comprised of cymbidium orchids, bonsai eucalyptus, and plumosa.
Jennifer and Sean exchanged vows in the church Jennifer grew up in as a child. The church features wondrously high ceilings and beautiful details, so the couple opted not to add any other decorations.
Jennifer and Sean incorporated several Catholic traditions into the ceremony, including the lighting of the unity candle. Jennifer was also honored to have her wedding ceremony performed by the same priest that married her brother.
Wanting the space to look chic and elegant, Jennifer opted to cover tables in black linens. Vases filled with fiji mums, limes, and a floating green orchid brightened the room.
“The band was amazing!” Jennifer says. “They played the whole night.” The newlyweds started the night off by dancing to “Question” by Old 97’s and later everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to Jennifer’s dad whose birthday was the following day.
Given their fun personalities, Jennifer and Sean opted for a white mad-hatter style cake with green accents.
Jennifer and Sean created CDs that they used as both place cards and favors. “Each CD had the guest name and the table number on the cover,” Jennifer explains. The CDs, which featured songs that were special to the newlyweds, were entitled “Songs We Slow Dance To.”

Jennifer and Sean decided that if bright green was a good enough color to paint their living room wall with, it was good enough to adorn their wedding. The couple paired the vibrant hue with the always-elegant black for a beautiful summer celebration with 250 guests.

Though Sean had been dropping hints all day that a proposal was imminent, Jennifer was still surprised when he dropped down on one knee in front of their apartment and asked her to marry him. “I was so excited I put the ring on the wrong finger,” Jennifer laughs. The nights of surprises was just beginning, however. On her way out, when Jennifer opened the front door she was greeted by friends and family from around the country who’d made the trip to celebrate the engagement.
