Elizabeth & Andrea in Barcciano, Italy
The ceremony took place in a corner of the Odescalchi Castle garden, as the couple sat on chairs atop a platform facing guests.
The bridesmaids wore champagne gowns, designed by the bride’s friend, and carried bouquets of pink peonies and roses.
The wedding carried on inside for dinner in a decadent dining room set for 160 with low and simple centerpieces of roses, peonies, and greenery and candles so as to not compete with the ornate room decor.
An 18-piece big band got guests up and dancing in the castle’s open-air courtyard.
Guests filled favor boxes with confetti from “The White Bar” that featured 10 different types of confetti, an Italian custom.

While Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding put Odescalchi Castle on the pop culture map, they're not the first couple to marry there.

Italian customs and city style abounded at Elizabeth and Andrea's garden wedding in Barcciano, Italy, which combined the groom's Italian heritage with the bride's New York City roots. The wedding decor, awash in pinks, purples, and greens, was kept simple so as to complement the grandiosity of their location: a fifteenth-century castle just north of Rome. Postceremony, the groom's guitar teacher entertained guests with bossa nova music before fireworks ended the night with a bang.
