Danielle & Brian in Sheep Mountain, AK
Danielle carried a bouquet of white flowers wrapped with the satin from her grandmother’s wedding dress.
Danielle’s bridesmaids wore sage green, knee-length dresses. Their bouquets mimicked the bride’s.
During their photo session, Danielle and Brian’s friend (who’s also a pilot) surprised them and flew his plane overhead.
Danielle bought a basic, white ring pillow and perked it up by adding green ribbon to it.
Danielle and Brian chose a log lodge tucked between two mountain ranges, the Talkeetna and Chugach, for their wedding ceremony and reception site.
The Chugach Mountains created a breathtaking backdrop for Danielle and Brian’s outdoor wedding ceremony.
Wooden stairs decorated with white tulle led to the ceremony site.
To honor their families, Danielle and Brian set up a table with framed black-and-white wedding pictures of their parents and grandparents.
Danielle and her sister hot glued green ribbon and black, brown, and white buttons to votive candles for the reception. They placed the votives on the tables throughout the reception site.
Large hurricane lamps lit with candles sat in the middle of each reception table surrounded by scattered white and clear gems and small votive candles.
The couple hired Danielle’s favorite Alaskan country band, The Ken Peltier Band, to play at the wedding reception.
Danielle’s aunt made and decorated the couple’s buttercream-iced, four-tiered wedding cake based on pictures Danielle had sent her. Danielle rented the silver cake stand.
Thank-you cards Danielle had made herself were placed in each guest’s hotel room and also displayed at the reception for guests to take.
