Jinny & Mark in Chicago, IL
Jinny‘s bouquet of lilacs, sweetpeas, ranunculus, berries, and lily-of-the-valley, combined varying shades of white, violet, and chartreuse and was hand-tied and wrapped in white satin.
Jinny‘s bridesmaids wore strapless, satin gowns in plum with a beaded bodice and side ruching. During the ceremony, the girls had matching shoulder wraps.
Mark‘s boutonniere, composed of green hypericum berries, white ranunculus, and purple lilac blossoms, perfectly matched Jinny‘s bouquet.
Jinny and Mark were married at Calvary Memorial Church, where he had been going since he was a teenager and she had recently joined. Mark‘s dad, the pastor at the church, presided over the ceremony.
For the ceremony, Jinny wanted lots -- and lots! -- of flowers. Two urns set on pillars were on either side of the altar and filled with chartreuse and mauve hydrangeas, white and pink roses, and cherry blossom branches.
Jinny wore an ivory Mori Lee strapless dress with a satin band at the waist and duchess satin trimming at the hem.
The hand-stamped programs -- a DIY project undertaken by the bride and groom -- were reminiscent of vintage letterpress stationery.
The round guest tables were set with chic ivory tablecloths and a dazzling centerpiece of pink, purple, and green florals.
Green and mauve hydrangeas, hot pink anemone, purple sweet pea, and green hypericum berries arranged in large square glass vases lined with slices of fresh lime.
Each layer of their triple-tiered ivory cake was accented with buttercream swiss dots and a buttercream pearl border. The purple flowers gave it a chic and punchy twist.
Jinny and Mark shared their first dance to "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.
Each guest received a chartreuse polka-dot pillow-box filled with Korean hard candy and tied with a special note of thanks.

Jinny and Mark, both physicians, started dating when they met in medical school. One fall, Mark took Jinny on a surprise trip to Vermont. There, while hiking in the Green Mountains, they reached a lookout and stopped to admire the view.

The Groom Mark Duncan, 30, physician
The Date March 8

Suddenly Mark pulled a ring out of his backpack, got down on his knees, and proposed. "The entire way back down the mountain, I kept tripping because I couldn't help admiring my new ring!" Jinny says. Five months later, they were married in the Oak Park church where Mark's father was a pastor. Although it was early March, the wedding festivities were awash in purples and greens in tribute to Easter and the coming spring.
