Michele & Randy in Dearborn, MI
Michele and Randy’s ceremony took place on the estate’s outdoor patio overlooking 1,300 acres of gardens, a river, and forest. The couple passed around their rings and asked their guests to make a silent wish, prayer, or intention for them and their marriage.
“I wanted my bouquet to include the favorite flowers of the significant women in my life,” Michele says. She gave a list to her florist, who set about creating the beautiful bouquet.
Randy wore a small red dahlia boutonniere with his sharp ensemble -- a two-button, notch-lapel jacket with a black shadow stripe, matching trousers, a black Claiborne vest, and a red print, silk necktie by Pink Inc.
Colorful arrangements hung from the ceremony aisle chairs at Michele and Randy‘s ceremony.
Michele’s mom picked out the two-inch square Michigan Pottery tile ornaments, in varying colors, which were used as napkin holders during dinner and then given as favors.
“We leafed through tons of pictures, and when we saw the pink, purple, and chartreuse cake, we knew it was the one we wanted. It looked and tasted wonderful,” Michele says of the four-tiered square cake with dark purple hydrangeas.

Sometimes happily ever after takes time, and such was true for Michele Brock and Randy Sly. After meeting through a mutual friend at a coffee shop in Royal Oak, the two continuously ran into each other and eventually learned that they lived close to one another. But even though they began to go on walks and out to dinner together, neither was interested in a romantic relationship -- so much so that they even tried fixing each other up with other people!

The Date September 1

After three years, friendship finally found its way to romance during a camping trip with friends, and four years later, the two made a mutual decision to marry. The wedding, with a vibrant color palette of pinks, chartreuse, orange, purple, and red, took place just nine months later at an estate overlooking gardens, forest, and a river.
