Event Designer Profile: Jo-Anne Brown, Celebrations Ltd.
Jo-Anne and her Celebrations team can help pull together every aspect of a wedding, from the flowers to the formalwear. Here, a bride carries a vibrant bouquet of sunflowers, mums, daisies, roses, and orchids.

Lime green ribbon and fresh cymbidium orchids make a simple statement on a vanilla wedding cake with raspberry filling, covered in fondant.

For a reception at Grand Cayman‘s thatched-roof Ristorante Pappagallo, Jo-Anne used rattan chargers and fresh cymbidium orchids at each place setting for a rustic yet tropical look.

Not all weddings on the Cayman Islands have to be tropically themed. For her daughter Kristin‘s wedding, Jo-Anne and her team created an elaborate Victorian-inspired affair, complete with over-the-top floral arrangements and fireworks for 350 guests. Even Kristin’s bouquet was a showstopper; it featured pale-colored roses, peonies, stephanotis, and a satin ribbon wrapped with jewels.

Whether indoors or out, Celebrations can set the mood with its team of lighting experts and extensive event rental inventory. The company boasts the island’s only clear-top tent, so wedding guests won’t miss out on the Cayman Islands’ spectacular starry skies. For Kristin’s wedding, ambient lighting inside the tent was provided by LED light boxes placed underneath the centerpieces, while two crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling.

When it comes to floral design, Celebrations is always experimenting with innovative ways to display centerpieces. For her daughter‘s wedding, Jo-Anne and her team created extravagant spheres of lilies, roses, stephanotis, ranunculuses, and peonies resting on clear vases filled with crystallized gel for a champagne bubble effect.

Along with Tina LaMorte of Oh So Fabulous, LLC, Jo-Anne and her team used bright turquoise lamour linens for a laid-back seaside reception on the patio of the Grand Old House in Grand Cayman. To add to the casual vibe, blue and white Chinese lanterns were strung from a tent, and bright yellow orchids added a sunny dose of color to the silver rattan charger plate.

Celebrations leaves no detail overlooked. These menu cards were custom-designed by Robin K Design, LLC, in Hamilton, New Jersey, to perfectly match the table linens and fit atop each dinner plate.

To add a bit of dazzle to the day, Celebrations created an escort card tree from willow branches that were strung with dangling crystals and calligraphed circular escort cards created by Robin K Design, LLC, in Hamilton, New Jersey. Pale pink cymbidium orchids completed the look.

A simple yet stunning touch: Each guest’s chair was tied with raffia and finished off with a red rose at one couple’s Chinese wedding.

For a Chinese wedding, Celebrations decked out The Wharf restaurant in Grand Cayman with brilliant red table linens. Square and circular red lanterns popped out against draped stark white fabric, while lucky bamboo sprouted from a base of red roses and orchids in each centerpiece.

Jo-Anne‘s (right) key to wedding day success: Try not to stress. "To enjoy it, be happy, relax, indulge yourself, and let go; then you and your guests will really begin to have an unforgettable evening,”
she tells her brides, including her daughter Kristin (left) on her own wedding day. For more information on Jo-Anne Brown and Celebrations Ltd. click here.
