What is the Knot Card?

The Knot Card is a Credit Card from American Express. The Credit Card has an array of features and benefits to help engaged couples plan their weddings, consolidate their expenses, and earn Membership Rewards® points redeemable for everything from travel to merchandise for the home. What is the Membership Rewards Express

What can I redeem points for? How do I redeem points?

For a complete overview of the program, please click here. You can redeem your points online or by phone at 1-800-AXP-EARN (297-3276). You will also receive a Membership Rewards ExpressSM program brochure in the mail after you receive your Card. This brochure will tell you how to earn points, get rewards, and provide you with a sample of rewards.

Do I need to enroll in the Membership Rewards ExpressSM program?

No, you do not need to enroll. Enrollment is automatic.

When will I receive my 5,000 bonus points?

Please allow six to eight weeks after your first purchase for the bonus points to appear in your
Membership Rewards ExpressSM program account.

How does the 10,000 bonus points when you I spend over $15,000 with the Card work?

If you spend $15,000 between January 1st and December 31st of a given year, you will receive 10,000 bonus points. That means that you will have earned 25,000 points (15,000 + 10,000). If you get your card in June, you will have to spend $15,000 prior to December 31st to be eligible for the bonus. Every year on January 1st, the counter starts over again, allowing you to earn the bonus again year after year.

When will I receive my 10,000 bonus points?

Please allow 12 to 14 weeks after the end of the calendar year for the bonus points to appear in your
Membership Rewards ExpressSM program account.

Can I only put wedding related spending on my Card?

No. You can put all of your charges on this Card. In fact, virtually all of your spending counts toward the yearly 10,000 bonus.

I received my Card, but not The Knot Wedding Planning Kit. When will this arrive?

You should receive The Knot Wedding Planning Kit three to four weeks after you receive your Card. If you have not yet received your Card, you can call American Express at 1-800-950-8623 to find out the status. If you have received your Card in the mail and four weeks have passed, please contact The Knot at theknotcard@theknot.com or 1-800-276-3982.

The Knot Wedding Planning Kit arrived damaged/missing an item. What should I do?

I received my Knot Wedding Planning Kit, but the Additional Card user that I added to the account did not. Why?

Unfortunately, only the primary Cardmember receives The Knot Wedding Planning Kit.

How do I use the exclusive 10% savings on at The Knot Wedding Shop?

It’s simple. Visit The Knot Wedding Shop. Select the item(s) you would like to purchase. Pay with The Knot Credit Card from American Express. When you are checking out, use the current bonus code in the promotional discount box. The discount should be automatically applied to your entire order. Who should I contact with questions about my account, my Card, my bill, payments, etc?

Will my Card still work after I get married?

Yes. As long as your account is in good standing, your Card will be valid until the expiration date. You also have the option to get a new Card, The Nest Credit Card from American Express. What is The Nest Card?

1) 5,000 Membership Rewards® welcome bonus points will be awarded after your first purchase on The Knot Card. Please allow 6-8 weeks after your first purchase for the bonus points to appear in your Membership Rewards ExpressSM program account. Only first-time Knot Cardmembers are eligible to receive these welcome bonus points. In addition, new Knot Cardmembers that have or previously had The Nest Card from American Express are not eligible to receive welcome bonus points. You are eligible to earn welcome bonus points for only one Card account. Additional Cardmembers not eligible. Bonus Id: 2167.

2) Purchases must be made within one calendar year – January 1 to December 31. $15,000 or more in purchases on the Knot Card must be completed within this time period to earn the bonus points. For the first year of Cardmembership, the spend evaluation period may be less than twelve months. Bonus points will be credited to your Membership Rewards ExpressSM program account within 12-14 weeks after charges appear on your billing statement. Bonus Id: 8069.
