Gift Registry Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50)
ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: One Grand
Prize Winner will receive the following: (1) Marriott® Honeymoon Registry Gift Card
usable at any Marriott® property worldwide. Total retail value of the Grand Prize:
$1,000. Winners must comply with all terms and
conditions of the gift cards. Gift card can be used at any Marriott®

Prize is transferable,
no substitutions are allowed except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prize may
not be redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of
equal or greater value if advertised prize is unavailable.
Winner
is responsible for any loss of prize after it has been delivered. Sponsor will not
replace any lost or stolen prize. Any and all applicable federal, state and
local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

fully completing the on-screen entry form and transmitting the information to the
Sponsor at www.theknot.com

11:59 p. m. ET on Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Your full name, address, city, state, zip
code, email address, date
of birth and responses
to the questions are required for entry. Normal Internet access, phone and usage
charges imposed by your online carrier or phone service may apply. An entry that
does not contain responses to the applicable questions will be deemed void and of
no effect.
An
entry made via the Internet will be deemed to have been made by the "authorized
account holder" of the email address utilized at the time the entry is made. For
purposes herein, the "authorized account holder" refers to the person assigned to
an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other
organization responsible for assigning email addresses
for the
domain associated with the submitted address. Winning participant may be required
to provide Sponsor with proof that the claimed winner is the authorized account
holder of the email address associated with the winning entry, or forfeit the prize.
Multiple participants
are not permitted to share the same email address. Limit one entry per person/email
address, per day.
A day is defined
as a 24-hour period between 12:00:01 AM ET and 11:59:59 PM ET. Any attempt by any
participant to obtain more than the permitted number of entries by using multiple
and/or different identities, forms, registrations, addresses or any other method
will void that participant's entries, and that participant may be disqualified at
Sponsor’s discretion. Use of automated entries or programs is prohibited.
Entries specifying an invalid, non-working, or inactive
email address will be disqualified and ineligible to win.
All entries
will become the property of The Knot Inc. and will not be returned. The Knot Inc.
is not responsible for transmission and/or computer error.
The potential Grand
Prize winner of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible
entries received, on or about Tuesday, May 15, 2007. The potential winner
will be notified via email and/or
ANY ATTEMPT
BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE
ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES
OR
UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE
OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS,
AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE KNOT INC. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES
FROM AND/OR TO PROSECUTE ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
ANY SUCH TAMPERING ALSO WILL RESULT IN INELIGIBILITY TO WIN THE PRIZE IN THE SWEEPSTAKES.
If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes
is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus or bugs,
tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes
beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the operation, administration,
security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor may,
in its sole discretion, void any suspect entries and (a) cancel or terminate the
Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof); (b) modify the Sweepstakes or suspend the
Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner
that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (c) award the prize
from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment.
Sponsor’s failure to enforce
any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Neither Sponsor nor any of the Promotion Entities will enter into any communications
with any entrant regarding this Sweepstakes, except as expressly set forth in these
Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify
any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the entry process
and/or the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes; to violate the Official Rules;
or to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy,
abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. The Sweepstakes
is subject to these Official Rules. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants and the
winners agree to waive any right to claim any ambiguity, inequity or error in the
Official Rules of the Sweepstakes, and/or of the Sweepstakes itself, and agree to
be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of the Sweepstakes judges,
which in all respects shall be final and binding. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants
shall be deemed to have agreed to have their entry information made available to
the Sponsor.
Entrants may choose not to receive marketing information from the collector of the
information.
RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS
OF LIABILITY:
The Promotion Entities are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes, provided that if it is not possible to award another entry due to discontinuance of the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, for any reason, Sponsor, at its discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. DISPUTES/CONSTRUCTION:
Except where prohibited, all
issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability
of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor
in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance
with, the laws of the State of New York without
giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State
of New York, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the
laws of any other jurisdiction other than the State of New York. In addition, any
and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this
Sweepstakes (including these Official Rules) shall be shall be resolved individually,
without resort to any form of class action, and shall be brought in the appropriate
state or federal court having jurisdiction over the subject matter located in the
City and County of New York. Entrants
hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive
any claim of forum non conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have.
Any and all claims, judgment, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket
costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes, but in
no event attorneys’ fees; under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain
awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental
and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket
expenses, any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
