ABOUT MARIA
The Bride: I was born November 3, 1981 to Nino and Cindy Ciprioni. I went to Maple Hill and graduated in 1999. I then went on to attend SUNY Cobleskill and graduated with an AAS in Early Childhood. I continued my education at SUNY Oneonta with a degree in Family & Consumer Science Education (Secondary Ed.). I am currently teaching at Chatham HS & MS.
ABOUT BEN
The Groom: I was born June 7, 1979 to Stephen and Margaret Hayes. I went to Columbia and graduated in 1998. I then joined the Army and served in many different places including Korea and Seattle. In 2001 I reinlisted with the National Guard in Troy NY. I also enrolled in college. I am currently studying environmental science at SUNY Oneonta and graduating in May 2006.
HOW WE MET
It was June 19, 2003, I was waitressing at a little diner in East Greenbush. Ben and his Mom came in for dinner and from the moment he came through the door, and I layed eyes on him, I knew I had to meet him! I forced his waitress, Sally, to question him, and soon enough I was at his table introducing my self. We exchanged numbers and been together ever since.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ben took me to all the places we went on in our first couple weeks dating. We went to the plaza, where we walked around and I complained the whole time about how cold it was! I wanted to go to the car, and Ben wanted me to sit on a concrete bench! I reluctantly sat down (on my hands). Ben was on his knee in front of me, and thats when he pulled my hand out and slipped the most incredible ring on my finger as he asked me to marry him! After that, I wasn't cold anymore! I was jumping up and down and crying.

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
I have choosen fushia, black and white as our colors. Our resception will be at Franklin Plaza in Troy, NY. We are planning on about 200 people, and lots of great food (Italians love to eat!) Ceremony is at 6:00, reception starts at 7:30. Hotel rooms are blocked across the street from the reception to continue the party and prevent drinking and driving (full open bar)! It should be a lot of fun, we're saving all our pennies for this one!
