Grew up:
South Central Mass. Mostly attended Seventh-day Adventist schools, although did try homeschooling and public school as well. He graduated from Greater Boston Academy in 1997, then took a year off before attending Southern Adventist University.

SAU - Computer Science, Computer Systems Admin. - May 2003
Work:
Backup Administrator - MIS department - Florida Hospital Orlando.

Network Technician - SAU's Information Systems dept
Summer intern - Florida Hospital Orlando's MIS dept. (networking).

HOW WE MET
Olin & I met the summer before my first semester at Southern Adventist University. He was working for IS and was known as "the ethernet guy" and he installed the ethernet card in my computer. Thanks Henry (his, and later my, boss :) Also, we had a psychology class together that semester. He introduced me to his friends, and he could never get rid of me again. Actually, we became best friends at some point, then we started dating October 17, 2001. He proposed two years later on October 17, 2003, and thus the wedding will be on our anniversary: October 17, 2004!
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
Olin had already graduated and was working at Florida Hospital Orlando. I was finishing up my last semester, so we were having a temporary long distance relationship. I knew it was coming sometime because Olin's not the type to just date a girl for the fun of it. He asked my dad for permission to marry me before I came down for mid-term break. We had a special date planned for our two-year anniversary of when we started dating. He took me to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner in his shiny red RX7. After dinner he said, let's go for a little drive. An HOUR later, we arrive at cocoa beach. By this time it was dark out on a Friday night, and therefore was the beginning of the Sabbath. We went for a walk on the beach and he just kept stopping, and looking at me funny, then walking some more. We were talking about all kinds of stuff, none of which I can remember. Finally, he got down on one knee, took my hand and said, Alilia Rose Martin, will you marry me? I barely let him get the words out, becuase as soon as he got down on one knee, I knew what he was going to say and I just wanted to kiss him! So, my answer was, "Of course!!"
