ABOUT LAUREN
Lauren Nathalie Moses-Brettler was born October 4th, 1983 in Montreal, Quebec. She has been living in Toronto, Ontario since she was one and a half. She graduated from North Toronto C.I. in 2002. She has been attending the University of Toronto full-time since then, majoring in Women's Studies and minoring in Sociology and Classical Civilizations. She currently works at the university's Women and Gender Studies library and at Statistics Canada, and volunteers for Planned Parenthood doing workshops for high school classes. She loves her and Damian's pet dog and two cats, going to shows and listening to music, reading, watching films, politics and social issues, activism, reality t.v. and the food network.
ABOUT DAMIAN
Damian Ford Abraham was born September 16th, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario. He graduated from St. George's Academy in 1998, and has been attending the University of Toronto part-time since then, majoring in Women's Studies and Cinema Studies. He currently works for a t.v. station called JumpTV, writes on and off, and is kept very busy touring and recording for his bands Fucked Up and Pink Eye. He loves his and Lauren's pets, art/drawing, feeding his record addiction, going to movies and shows, and watching Iron Chef.
HOW WE MET
Lauren and Damian have known eachother for years, since Lauren was about 15 and Damian 19 through going to shows. Funnily enough, Lauren was initally not very fond of Damian for various reasons (namely by association and due to a certain radio show...) Eventually, after Damian and Lauren's cousin Nathaniel became roomates for two years, Damian started to win Lauren over. The summer of 2003, after both Lauren and Damian had just left relationships, Lauren heard that Damian "had a crush on her". Willing to give him the benefit of a doubt since she had never really talked to him, they hung out one night, August 23rd, 2003. From there on they were inseperable, spending every day together and officially moving in together around March/April of 2004. They basically knew from the first time they ever hung out that they would be together forever.
HOW IT HAPPENED
There was no real proposal, since they had talked about getting married a million times and already considered and even talked about themselves as engaged since a few months into their relationship. Damian gave Lauren a ring on October 1st, 2004 though.
