ABOUT GENEVIVE
Genevive was born in southern California and is a freelance science and medical writer. She loves the warm waters and sunshine of Hawaii, her pack of furries and cozy time with Adam.
ABOUT ADAM
Adam was born in Buffalo, New York, and is an astrophysicist on faculty at MIT. He is currently missing the SoCal surf but gets plenty of ocean time when he's home on the islands with our "furry" family.
HOW WE MET
We were introduced in January 2004 by mutual friends at an astronomy conference in Atlanta, Georgia. One month later, we were randomly in San Francisco at the same time and decided to meet for dinner - Indian! That was our amazing first date. After eighteen months full of travels, adventure, coziness and love, we got engaged!
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
While hiking in the Spanish Pyrenees, we stopped at a gushing glacial waterfall called the Cascada del Cinca. It was here that Adam popped the question and then sealed the deal with a unique diamond-studded, knot-shaped ring that he picked out in Madrid a few days earlier. After recovery from the surprise, Genevive said yes!
