ABOUT JAMIE
I grew up in Arroyo Grande, graduated from Arroyo Grande High School, and now (after graduating from Cal Poly, SLO) live in Arroyo Grande. I graduated in 2002 from Cal Poly, SLO with a degree in Civil Engineering and now work as a staff engineer at a small soils engineering firm. I grew up at the beach surfing, body boarding, and working on my tan. On long summer weekends I love going camping or for a drive in the mountains. I love to spend time with my family and friends but also enjoy a quiet night reading or working on a quilt.
ABOUT VICTOR
Victor grew up in Carrisa Plains and after attending Atascadero High School he graduated from Cal Poly, SLO with a degree in Civil Engineering. He now lives in Arroyo Grande and works as an engineer for the City of Arroyo Grande. He grew up in the hot sun, hunting, branding, and raising animals for 4-H. He is a huge Chicago Bears fan and besides spending Sunday afternoons watching football with his friends, he loves to work with his tools in his garage.
HOW WE MET
We met at Cuesta College and had many many classes together. We transferred to Cal Poly at the same time and found ourselves in the same study groups and classes. The summer of 2000 my friends and I went up to the Paso Robles fair for a Kenny Chesney concert and stopped at A&W Root Beer for a quick dinner. While we were eating Victor walked up - he was on his way to the fair (by himself because his friend had to work). We talked for a while and I suggested that he come watch the concert with us. He said maybe and walked off. I was so excited when he showed up!!! It was a great show and afterwards we talked about maybe meeting for lunch one day that summer. That night I can honestly say it was truly about hanging out with a friend - I didn't even think that he would be the love of my life. We have talked everyday since that night at the fair...
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
We were getting ready for a trip to Auburn/Lake Tahoe the next day and I was at his apartment finishing up laundry and trying to get some work done since I was taking off a few days. I thought he was upstairs packing but it turns out he was calling my dad for permission. He came downstairs and came over to me and told me how much he loved me. I told him that I loved him too and then he got down on his knee. It gets a little blurry at that point. I do remember kissing him and then him asking what my answer was...I guess I forgot to say yes! :)
WHEN & WHERE

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
Our wedding will be at the beautiful San Luis Obispo Country Club in San Luis Obispo, California. After a traditional ceremony over-looking the rolling green hills we will move inside for a fun reception with a BBQ buffett and hopefully lots of dancing. Hopefully it will be an evening that all of our friends and family will remember for years to come.
