Newlyweds for 864 days!
ABOUT JAMIE
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Dental Hygiene. Currently, I work for a wonderful dentist in the downtown Durham area. I also work for Fink's jewelers part-time with a fun loving group of people. In my spare time I like to cook, watch movies, scrapbook and spend time with my fiance and our kids-two dogs and a cat!
ABOUT JAMES
James served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina for three years. Currently, he works for Durham county animal control as an officer and Animal Cruelty investigator. He is the true dog whisperer!
HOW WE MET
We both can't thank Caroline Chen (bridemaid) enough ! October 7th, 2000, James was celebrating his birthday with a bunch of friends at Players Franklin Street, Chapel Hill. Caroline literally dragged me out that night . James spotted me in a crowded room, but was too nervous to talk to me. Caroline immediatly noticed James pointing at me and jokinly demanded that he talk to me. Sounds cliche, but when we laid eyes on each other there were instant sparks. James asked me out to dinner the next day and the rest is history.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
We were at a New Years Eve ball at the Hilton in North Raleigh with a group of close friends. When the ball drop he proposed and of course I said yesss! I later found out that my friends and family already knew and were dying not to tell me. On Christmas Eve, James made a special trip to my parents house with the ring to ask for permission.

The ceremony will be outside in the gazebo/garden area. Cocktail hour will follow immediatly after in the Italien courtyard. A sit down dinner, followed by lots of dancing will be in the Grand Corina ballroom, so bring your dancing shoes! The castle is ours for the weekend, so we hope that you will all make yourselves at home and enjoy the splendor of the castle as much as we do.
JAMIE'S ATTENDANTS
Christina
Zafiris
,
Maid Of Honor
-- Christina is my "little sissy" as I like to call her. Aside from putting up with me her whole life, Christina is my best friend and the best sister I can possibly ask for. I can't say enough about her heart of gold and sweet disposition. Christina currently lives in Columbia, Maryland where she practices as a speech pathalogist
Stephani
Tyrance
,
Matron of Honor
-- I first met "Stephi" in English 101 at UNCG in 1996. Ironically, a year later our paths crossed again when I transferred to UNC-Chapel Hill. We both came from such similiar backrounds it was inevitable that we instantly clicked. Steph is the first person I call when I'm having a bad day, as she always makes me laugh. She has been there for me through the good times and bad and for that I'm very thankful. Stephani is married to Marcus Tryance and resides in Omaha, NE.
Catherine
Weathers
,
Bridesmaid
-- I have been told, " You can't take Cat or Jamie anywhere." Of course that doesn't stop us! Catherine and I met at F.J.I and have been friends ever since. She is a party princess and is notorious for her master minded pranks. Its nice to have a friend that likes barbeque as much as I do, and never leaves the house without her camera.
Virginia
Grout
,
Bridesmaid
-- I met this wild red head when I pledged Chi-Omega in 1997. "Ginny" and I were both in the same pledge class. We also lived on "the hall" together and later shared an apartment, along with many stories and late night chats. Ginny taught me how to laugh at myself and not to take myself too seriously. Ginny has a wonderful sense of humor and can make you laugh until your stomache hurts. If you are lucky, we may even see her jump in the pool at my wedding-just kidding!
Caroline
Chen
,
Bridesmaid
-- I met "C-line" in Hygiene school at UNC in 2000. Caroline is a social butterfly and a true match maker. As a matter of fact if she didn't drag me out Oct 7th, 2000 I would have never met James! Caroline was my first friend to see the ring when James bought it. Caroline and have lived together for 2 years and she is now my next door neighboor! I couldn't ask for anything better!
Konstantina
Karampourniotis
,
Bridesmaid
-- "Dia"and I met in 1998 at Carolina through the Hellenic society. When Dia and I first met, we connected instantly. Both of our parents are Greek and although we are not related, we share some striking resemblances. In college we used to have a coin jar that we would put money in everytime some one asked if we were sisters. It later became a joke and to this day we like to believe that somewhere down the line we are related in some way. Until then, I like to call her my long lost sister. Dia is married to Vaki Karampourniotis. They live in Belmont and have a beautiful baby boy, Kyriako.
Erin
Uyttewaal
,

-- I have known Erin the longest, all the way back to freshman year in highschool. Erin and I met in French class.
