ABOUT COURTENEY
I am a woman who is so blessed to have found the man of my dreams! I thank God for bringing Chris into my life every chance I get. I am blessed with a wonderful family (Mom, Dad, Blake and Leah) and 3 wonderful babies (K-9 that is) Lucky, Sofie, and Mandy. I am a native Houstonian and was a gymnast for most of my childhood years. I graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1996 and then from Stephen F. Austin in the fall of 2000 with a Biology degree. My hobbies and interests include Photography, listening to music, exercising, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and of course, going out to eat!
ABOUT CHRIS
Quoting Chris, "I feel very lucky to have found the woman I am going to spend the rest of my life with. Courteney has brightened and blessed my life more than I could ever have imagined, and I am looking forward to many years ahead of us." Chris is also a native Houstonian but spent some of his early childhood in a small town named Kerrville. He has also been blessed with a wonderful family (Karen, Big Chris, Marsha, and Jodi) His sister, Marsha and husband, Nick, who is a Houston Firefighter, have a beautiful daughter, Sofia who Chris absolutely adores! Chris graduated from Springwoods High School in 1995 and then from, what used to be Southwest Texas, in 2002 with a B.S. degree in Applied Sociology. Chris is a P.E. Coach at Tipps Elementary and his hobbies include golf, mountain biking, playing the guitar, going to the movies, and spending time with his family and friends.
HOW WE MET
We met at Baker's Street Pub at Willowbrook during the 3rd championship play-off game between The Spurs and Detroit on June 21, 2005. We were both there sitting at the same table with our mutual friends. I asked my friend Beth who Chris was and to call him over to sit with us. She did and we talked well into the night and have been inseparable ever since. I had been friends with his cousins since 9th grade but had never run into Chris. Most of his friends are people that I have been friends with since highschool.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
We had just closed on our new home and Chris asked me if we could meet there the next day so that he could cook me dinner in our new home. We were both sick with a sinus infection and a bad cold. I called Chris the next day to see if we could have an earlier dinner so that I could get to bed early since we were not feeling very good. He said, "Baby, just come over at 7pm, we'll have dinner and then you can go." (Obviously, he had this planned for quite a while and nothing was going to get in his way of asking me to marry him!) So, I showed up at 7pm, on the dot, of course. I walked into our new vacant home to find candles everywhere, red and white rose petals covered the floor on my path into the house and the living room, and Chris' guitar, amp, and microphone were set up in the corner with a blanket filled with rose petals in front of it. He handed me a glass of wine and asked me to take a seat on the blanket. He started to sing the song he had been writing for me and I still did not have a clue that he was about to ask me to marry him. He had been working on the song for several months and it had everything to do with our relationship and us. At the end of the song, Chris was supposed to sing, "And when I get the courage to get down on one knee, Courteney will you marry me?" But he got a little choked up and just knelt down on one knee and showed me the ring then hugged me. Then he said, "Oh, I didn't even ask you to marry me. Courteney, will you marry me?" I said, "Of course, of course!" We hugged for a while then Chris sat me down at the dinner table for a candle light dinner from Carraba's. He served me the entire 3-course meal (ceasar salad & lasagna) and then we had our favorite dessert, fresh berries with reddi whip in a big wine glass. It was definitely the most exciting and best night of my life!

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
Our wedding and reception will be held at Cypress Chateau starting at 11 am and ending at 2pm. We will then have an after party around 3:30pm. Location and exact time will be included in the invitation. We hope that you will come and join us in celebrating our love for one another.
