ABOUT JOY
I grew up in Forked River, Lacey Township. I am currently living in an apartment with Lou in North Arlington. I graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Over the past couple of years, I had been substituting in Stafford Township and then landed a preschool teaching position for the 2006-2007 school year. As of right now, I am going to be subbing in the neighboring school districts.
ABOUT LOU
Lou is a sincere and caring guy. I am very lucky to have him in my life. Lou graduated with an Associate's Degree in Network Engineering from Berkeley College. He is currently working at a pharmaceutical company called Vyteris, located in Fair Lawn. At Vyteris, he is a network administrator.
HOW WE MET
I met Lou in December of 1999 at Q-Billiards in Toms River, but our relationship only lasted a few months due to the long distance. When I went to college, I called him and it was like we never separated. He came over that day and held my hand and gave me a kiss and said, "I knew we would end up together again." We have been officially dating since Sept. 21, 2001

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lou had set everything up with my mother a head of time and I was totally clueless to what was going on even though I actually walked in on their conversation. I always thought I would know when Lou was going to propose because I thought I would sense that he was acting different, WRONG!! We went to Shop-Rite to get some snacks for the night. When we came back the lights were out, but my mom and Jim were home, and candles all over the living room were burning. I said, "Oh how romantic, but why would my mom and Jim leave all these candles on." That's when Lou got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was winter so I threw my glove across the room and was, yes of course, crying. My mom and Jim were in the kitchen hiding and taking pictures. He put the ring on my finger and I didn't even give him an answer. Jim, my stepfather, said, " I didn't hear an answer." So he actually proposed again, this time with me sitting on the couch where an "I love you" pillow was set up that he had given me. This time when he asked if I would marry him, I said YES!!!

-- My sister is a person you can always count on to be there for you. Rene is smart and intelligent, but yet she loves to live by her own rules. ;) Even though we are, most of the times, total opposites we enjoy talking and picking on each other. Rene is going to make the best Matron of Honor ever. I love her with all my heart.

-- Jackie is currently going to school at Stockton. Jackie and I were football managers together in high school and oh how we loved our boys and were the bestest of friends and still are. Jackie is a great friend to have and I am so happy she is in my wedding.

-- Katie is a third grade teacher in the Montville School District. Katie and I met in college and were both going for teaching. We have remained friends ever since and now we are teaching in the same school. I am so glad I have Katie to be with me on my special day.

-- Shayna is my niece. Shayna is a beautiful little girl. By 2009, Shayna will only be 2 years old, which is why Jacob, my nephew, will be helping her walk down the aisle. My nephew will be 12 by 2009. He is currently going into 5th grade and is a bright young boy.

-- Jason is currently a mechanic at a car dealership. Lou actually met Jason through his wife Vanessa who was a friend of Lou's since they were little kids. Jason has a great personality, trustworthy, and is the perfect fit for Lou's best man and will do an awesome job.

-- Patrick is actually one of Joy's closest friends from childhood. Even our birthdays are only two days apart. We have shared many memories together. Patrick will also soon be married in October of 2009. I am extemely excited to have Patrick as a groomsmen on our wedding day. i couldn't imagine it without him in the bridal party.
