SUZANNE HUSSEY & JEREMY RAY JUNE 30, 2007 Newlyweds for 875 days! ABOUT SUZANNE Suzanne is the daughter of Mike and Lucille Hussey of Alfred, Maine. She graduated from Massabesic High School in 1998. After high school Suzanne went to UMaine Orono where she graduated in 2003 with a BA in elementary education (k-8) and a BS in art education. Suzanne now teaches 7th grade math in Westbrook at Wescott Junior High and is the varisty cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track coach at Westbrook High School. Jeremy and Suzanne recently bought a house in Saco and also live with their yorkshire terrier Miles. ABOUT JEREMY Jeremy is the son of Gary and Paula Ray of Milbridge, Maine. He graduated from Narraguagus High School in 1995. After high school Jeremy attended UMaine Orono where he studied to become a physical education teacher. Jeremy is now a principal at Canal School (grades 3-5) in Westbrook. HOW WE MET Jeremy's friend Christian approached Suzanne and her friend Ellen at a bar in the Old Port the night before the Patriots last Superbowl win. He recognized them from UMaine. When Suzanne told Christian she was a teacher he said " oh really well my buddy thats here with me is a principal." It just so happened that Jeremy was a principal in the same school district where Suzanne was coaching. After having some good conversation and sharing a pepperoni pizza at Bill's Pizza Jeremy was apparently too shy to ask for Suzanne's number. However he did turn to his favorite source of information...the internet! Jeremy figured out what Suzanne's school email address would be and sent an email a few days later asking for a date. The rest is history! WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED July 8, 2006 HOW IT HAPPENED Jeremy and Suzanne met the same night that Suzanne's best friend Megan got engaged to her now husband Steve. On Megan and Steve's wedding night Jeremy proposed to Suzanne when they returned home from the reception. In Jeremy's words, "Well, I figured we met the night they got engaged we might as well get engaged the night they got married." WHEN & WHERE June 30, 2007 Milbridge, ME ABOUT THE BIG DAY Our wedding is going to be at the Congregational Church in Milbridge. The reception will be outside under a tent on the water.
