ABOUT MATTIE
My name is Mattie Turner. I am a hair stylist, and I absolutely love what I do.
Jerad and I recently moved to Conroe, Texas for his job this past October.
I am between jobs at the moment, but hope to find one after the first of the year
that fits my personality and makes me happy.
ABOUT JERAD
Jerad is my fiance, he graduated from Tarleton State University this past August.
It was a long hard road, but he did it, and I am so very proud of his accomplishments. He is now a production manager for a
company called Conner Industries in Conroe, Texas. He loves what he does,
and plans to move up quickly with his company.
HOW WE MET
Funny story... Jerad was my youth leader in Church at Solid Rock in West Fort Worth.
I met him when I was about 14 or 15, and had a huge crush on him from the
moment I layed eyes on him. I can't say the same for him, he was 19
or 20 and didn't see me in the same way at the time. We reconnected a few
years later when we both attended Tarleton State University. We happened
to pass each other on the street, exchanged phone numbers, and the rest is history!
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was the weekend before Christmas, and Jerad and I had planned to come to Fort Worth
from Friday until Tuesday. That Friday, he found out that he had to
work on Saturday and Christmas Eve, so he told me that he would not be
home until then. Saturday was my family's Christmas with my mother's
side, which includes all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and Grandmother
(It's rather large). Even though I was with my family having fun,
I was a little down that Jerad could not attend. Well, we had just finished
dinner when Jerad walked in the house, he took off work early to make it to my families Christmas to surprise me... and that he did. After everyone
exchanged gifts we all gathered to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus,
Jerad immediately got everyone's attention and proposed to me.
I was completely surprised. I couldn't keep my hand steady enough to even
look at my ring for the first two minutes. It was a very special moment
in my life that I will never forget.

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
As of now, I am thinking about a fall theme...with an outside ceremony and inside reception. We will definitely have it in the DFW area.
