| It was a perfect storybook wedding! The leaves were red, yellow and orange and it was a crisp fall day in Eureka Springs. I could not ask for more on our special day...well, maybe I would ask for a bit more sunshine!
Ronny and I elected to have our pictures taken prior to the ceremony so while Ronny was in the garden taking his solo shots with the photographer, I crept up behind him and when he turned around, he just started crying. I have never seen him get so emotional. He looked so handsome even though we had some drama with the tuxedo. We wiped our tears and finished taking our pictures.
It was time for our guests to be seated and since I didn't want to be seen, I went into hiding while they were ushered in. My matron-of-honor, Christine, did such a wonderful job hiding me, setting up the reception hall, decorating the tables and, above all else, she kept me from freaking out too much! I'm so lucky to have such a great sister!
The ceremony was incredible! We had a lady with a guiter play music as I walked down the aisle and the officiant did such a great job incorporating the rose ceremony and the Apache prayer into the ceremony. Everyone was in tears...including Ronny and I.
The reception was the best. Since our guest list was so small (family only), we made one large table and we all ate the most delicious, not to mention the BIGGEST, piece of perfectly cooked prime rib ever! Everyone is STILL talking about the prime rib!
It was all so very much like a dream. The only thing that really went wrong was that the kitchen staff actually dropped our wedding cake! So, we only had a one tier white cake but it was still pretty when it was decorated with our flowers.
The Historic Crescent Hotel was so romantic. It was the perfect backdrop to our wedding and it had such a spiritual energy to it. We will be back to celebrate our future anniversaries! |

| Since we were paying for the wedding ourselves, we thought it would be best to have a really nice dream wedding now and then save up to go on our honeymoon for our one year anniversary instead of having a mediocre wedding and a mediocre honeymoon. Neither one of us has been to Europe so we are thinking about possibly doing a European cruise next Fall! |
