Call the couple to find out.
Buy something off-registry instead.
Do a search for them on a universal registry search or start putting out feelers with others close to the couple (such as the bridal party).

Send the bride a quick email asking her if it’s okay to wear.
Wear it -- it’s an ivory cocktail dress, not a white wedding dress!

3. Your invitation is addressed to “The Andersons.” Who can you assume is invited to the wedding?

You and your spouse.
Your entire family, including your spouse and your kids.
Your entire family, including the extended family that’ll be visiting from out of town that week.

4. How long do you have after the wedding to give the couple a gift?

One month -- sharp.
There’s no time limit -- as long as you let the couple know the gift is coming.
One year, but the sooner the better.

5. You’ve been invited to a friend’s wedding in the Caribbean. Unless noted otherwise, which of these costs can you assume will be covered by the couple?

Your accommodations (since they’re suggesting where you can stay)
Your flight, accommodations, and meal during the reception -- hey, they’re hosting you.
Costs that a normal wedding host would cover, such as the meal during the reception.
Since you’re not sure, you’re planning to call the couple to ask.

6. When you arrive at the ceremony, it appears to be open seating (no ushers). Where should you and your date sit?

Wherever your other friends have decided to sit.
The best seats you can find, preferably in the front row.
Somewhere closer to the front, but skipping the first few rows.
In the way back so you can be the first to get out during the recessional.
