A Bohemian, Whimsical Wedding at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, California
Perry Silverman and Adam Rosen based their wedding on "La Vie en Rose" as a nod to Perry's love of flower arranging and their hashtag, #chosenrosen. They celebrated against the Moroccan-inspired architecture of the Grand Del Mar, and they decorated with whimsical, bohemian and retro '70s-inspired accents. The wedding aisle was set up on the hotel's reflection lawn, leading to a geometric chuppah and canyon backdrop. An asymmetrical flower arrangement full of tropical blooms framed the couple during their nuptials. Perry and Adam also incorporated their 18-month-old twin boys into the ceremony. "We knew at their age that walking down the aisle would be tough, so we decided it might be cute to get them a remote-controlled ride-on car to go down the aisle," Perry says. "While they loved playing in the car at home, they were not having it at the ceremony." Instead, Perry's mom and brother carried them down the aisle, maintaining a special touch to the ceremony. After, guests moved to a balcony for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, then onto the lawn for an outdoor dinner. The couple decorated the space with round dining tables, mustard-colored linens, elegant dining chairs and bright flower centerpieces. They also had a "funky" pink arrangement on the bar made of roses, carnations and vintage-looking grasses. "With Perry working as a florist in New York City, florals were extremely important to us," the couple says. "In fact, the florist was the first contract we signed after finding our wedding planner."
