A Romantic Blue-and-White Wedding at Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, Massachusetts
Pheng Kouch (37 and a chiropractor) and Patchamol (Pat) Kanjanakuha (28 and an acupuncturist), who met working at a wellness clinic, settled on a color palette just as calming and rejuvenating as their career fields—blue and white. For their ocean-hued nuptials on the beach, the couple chose to DIY everything, turning to The Knot app for extensive planning help. The couple used The Knot resources from the onset, using the platform to guide their venue decision. "We knew that we wanted a beach wedding. And since we wanted a beach wedding, for us, it had to be in the summer. Most of the places in New England book out a year or two in advance. We actually used the Knot to find Wychmere Beach Club, Cape Cod. We had explored several different venues in the Cape, as well as venues between Newport RI and Gloucester MA. We had at one point considered just doing a destination wedding in Mexico! But the pictures and reviews looked great on The Knot, so we thought it would be worth while to check it out, and I could bring my fishing pole and take a few casts at the Cape Cod Canal. As soon as we arrived at the venue, we felt in love with it," they share. To complement the "modern, timeless, beach and fun" aesthetic they selected for their beachfront wedding day, the couple dressed their wedding party in on-palette attire. Each bridesmaid selected their own dress is an inviting shade of dusty blue. Shades of blue and gray also cropped up in the couple's stationery, in their linen choices and even with their cake design. Looking back on their beach wedding, Pat recalls her fondest memory: "My favorite part of the wedding was to see everyone that we love all at the same time and place. Most of my friends and family are from Thailand and the fact that they flew to be with me on our special day, just meant so much to me. When I was sitting at the sweetheart table, I could see all their smiling faces across the room. It just made me so happy!"
