Pink, White and Gold Brought the Romance to This Wedding at Carneros Inn in Napa, California
While Nicole and Rich tied the knot in California, the elegant and ethereal aesthetic of the day instantly transported guests to the beauty of Europe. "Since our wedding would take place outside in a beautiful courtyard overlooking the vineyards, I envisioned lights hanging from trees, light colors and beautiful florals. When my mind is set on something there is no turning back, especially as soon as I saw the view at Carneros!" Nicole shares.
"For the ceremony we didn't want to have too much decor so everyone could really appreciate the gorgeous scenery. I mean, we were in Napa, wine country, where very little was needed so we didn't take away for the endless views. We had hanging white flowers and greenery on the arch above our head and I remember them blowing in the wind. We also had tall mirrored pillars with large hydrangeas at the entrance and at the base of the area we would stand and say our 'I do's'. Simple is all that was needed!" Nicole went on to say.
As for the reception, the couple, "had a little more fun with this space! Our reception would take place in the outdoor courtyard at Carneros and it overlooked the gorgeous vineyards, we even had a few visitors (the cows) come by to say hello! We had a sweetheart table with a white textured table cloth, gold rimmed wine glasses, gold silverware, beautiful flowers and we sat on a plush sweetheart chair, perfection! For the guests tables I had slightly different florals on the tables to give it some dimension and not have everything so uniform. There was one large table that sat in the middle and that had high florals and at the base were tons of candles, it was one of my favorite things. To make things even more magical we had hanging lights from the trees above and a twinkle light "wall" which sat behind us at our sweetheart table. I wouldn't change a thing, it was everything we had dreamed, and more. Flowers were a HUGE part of our wedding. From the ceremony, to the table decor, to petals in a fountain they all were special and unique while staying in the same color palette. One thing that I wanted to do differently for my girls was for each to have their own unique bouquet made specifically for them! One girl had lillies, another peonies, and so on. Each girl is unique and special and I thought their bouquets was a great way to help showcase that. For my bouquet I wanted a large, cascading, statement bouquet and I got just that! It was stunning as were the reception flowers on the various guest tables. I wouldn't have changed a thing!" notes Nicole.
